The diet given to control pigs of initial bodyweight 95 to 100 kg was of barley 61.6, maize 28.0, sunflower oilmeal 5.0, fish meal 2.0, Meprin 2.0, premix (KS-4) 1.0, NaCl 0.4%; 1 kg of the diet contained 129.6 g crude protein, 6.3 g lysine, 4.7 g methionine plus cystine and 1.7 g tryptophan. The test group received a similar ration as the control but with additional 10% Meprin. The Meprin contained lysine 51.4, threonine 22.5, methionine plus cystine 16.1 and tryptophan 6.4 g/kg.
