Digestibility of protein and amino acids in different sections of the intestines in pigs. 3. Amino acid composition of chyme and faecal protein

Digestibility of protein and amino acids in different sections of the intestines in pigs. 3. Amino acid composition of chyme and faecal protein

Archiv fur Tierernahrung 33(10/11): 743-748

3. The amino acid composition of the chyme and faecal protein after feeding pigs on different diets is described. Chyme protein could not necessarily be considered homogenous. Faecal protein showed less considerable variation in its composition and deviated markedly from the composition of the faecal bacteria. The proportion of bacterial crude protein was calculated according to the content of 2,6-diaminopimelic acid.
