Digestive physiology of the deer - their morphophysiological specialisation and adaptation

Comparative morphological, physiological, microbiological, and ethological investigations show that "deer" encompasses a wide range of evolutionary specialization in feeding and digestive strategies. Cervidae include almost all groups of ruminant feeding types except nonselective grazers.
