Dimensional characteristics of spermatozoa in relation to fertility of Soviet Merino rams

Dimensional characteristics of spermatozoa in relation to fertility of Soviet Merino rams

Indian Veterinary Journal 61(8): 674-679

Sperm head length, width, area, shape and midpiece length were measured in 3 ejaculates from each of 17 rams. Diluted semen was used to inseminate Nali and Chokla ewes, and ram fertility was calculated as the proportion of inseminations resulting in a lambing.
