Dimidine tested for prophylactic purposes in Theileria infections of cattle under conditions of the Turkmen SSR

Intramuscular injections of 2 mg dimidine kg body weight as a 7% aqueous solution, were given to ten 6-month-old calves before their placement on tick-infested pasture. 12-18 days later one calf suffered a weak infection and 3 suffered severe theileriasis.
