Direct and correlated responses to selection for increased weaning and yearling weights in Angus cattle

Direct and correlated responses to selection for increased weaning and yearling weights in Angus cattle

Dissertation Abstracts International, B Sciences and Engineering 46(5): 1395

Data on 1749 calves studied during a 16-yr period were analysed. The animals were from 4 lines, each with 50 cows and 4 sires; 3 lines were selected for weaning weight, yearling weight and individual weaning weight plus progeny weaning weight resp., and the 4th line was not selected.
