Direct combining harvest loss of dry edible beans

Harvest loss for Great Northern beans was examined using the conventional harvest method and 5 direct combining techniques, including the row crop and flexible cutterbar combine headers. Harvest losses were lower for the upright Great Northern variety Spinel than the vine type varieties for all harvest methods used.
