Direct enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for determining aflatoxin M1 at picogram levels in dairy products

Direct enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for determining aflatoxin M1 at picogram levels in dairy products

Journal - Association of Official Analytical Chemists 67(6): 1098-1101

The optimization of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) to detect parts per trillion levels of M1 in various dairy products including liquid milk, powdered milk, yoghurt and cheese is described. The detection limits of M1 in milk, yoghurt, cheddar and Brie were 10, 10, 50 and 25 p.p.t. (ng/kg), respectively. Recovery for M1 added to these products was in the range 70-110%.
