The effect of different constant temperatures and relative humidities on the oviposition period, fecundity and duration of the egg stage of the house-dust mites Dermatophagoides farinae and D. pteronyssinus was determined in laboratory studies in Egypt. The results showed that the most suitable conditions for all 3 parameters were 25 degrees C and 75% RH for D. farinae and 25 degrees C and 80% RH for D. pteronyssinus.
