Effect of date of transplanting and levels of nitrogen on the yield of paddy (vr. Jaya) under partially reclaimed saline sodic soils of coastal region

In trials in 1980-3 on partially reclaimed saline sodic soils with rice Jaya transplanted on 4 dates and given 90-180 kg N/ha, crops transplanted on 20 June and given 180 kg N/ha produced the highest av. paddy yields of 6.89 t/ha.
