The effect of farmyard manure, chicken manure, compost, nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers on iron and copper content in Lolium multiflorum was studied in a factorial experiment. Chicken manure and compost increased the iron content. Chemical fertilizers in addition to these manures increased iron yield, owing to both plant uptake and increase in dry matter production.
