, : Effect of sublethal concentrations of propionic or butyric acid on growth and aflatoxin production by Aspergillus flavus. International Journal of Food Microbiology 2(6): 323-330

Sublethal doses (0.1-2 mg/ml) of propionic or butyric acid were added to a medium supporting A. flavus growth. A reduction in growth and aflatoxin production occurred when the acids were added at the time of inoculation.
