In 3 years' field trials of Alfa, Hatri, Kaspar and Kolibri in a sandy soil near the Baltic coast, the optimum N dose, as indicated by grain yield and protein content, varied with the year and the variety, and intervarietal differences were also found in yield response to sowing density.
