Effects of environmental conditions on the effectiveness of parasites of the cotton moth Heliothis armigera Hb. (Lepidoptera, Noctuidae)

Effects of environmental conditions on the effectiveness of parasites of the cotton moth Heliothis armigera Hb. (Lepidoptera, Noctuidae)

Izvestiya Akademii Nauk Azerbadzhansko SSR, Biologicheskikh Naukrecd 1984; (4): 76-82

The effects of environmental conditions on the effectiveness of 3 parasites (Apanteles kazak, Habrobracon hebetor and Hyposoter didymator) of the cotton pest Heliothis armigera were studied in the Azerbaijan SSR, USSR, in 1977-80. Regularities in the seasonal dynamics of activity of the parasites were observed, which were correlated with climatic conditions as well as with the biological characteristics of the parasites and host density.
