Diagnosis of dermatomycoses and yeast infections (including Microsporum canis, M. gypseum, Pityrosporum canis (Malassezia pachydermatis), Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Candida albicans and Cryptococcus neoformans infections) by various techniques, including examination with Wood's light, direct examination, culture and cutaneous biopsy, is described and illustrated.
