Twenty pigs obtained at 2 months of age from the same farm were placed in an experimental house for some days and antibody titres to rotavirus in blood and faeces were estimated. Ten animals selected for low immune status were divided into 2 lots (A and B) of 5 animals and the remainder (lot C) served as controls. Lots A and B were given two or three oral doses of a porcine rotavirus (OSU) strain over a 42-day period. Lot C were not artificially infected.
