Lambs reacted to the Japanese 'Nomi' strain and the Bulgarian 'Antonovo' strain (inoculated intravenously or into the trachea at 4 months of age) with fever and mild illness, with nasal discharge, conjunctivitis, and dyspnoea. The Bulgarian strain caused more severe illness than the Japanese strain. Antibodies appeared 14 days after infection.
