Experimental mycetoma due to Nocardia brasiliensis in the mouse. New observations

A standardized inoculum of N. brasiliensis injected into the footpad of Swiss albino mice induced after 14 days a mycetoma which was fistulized and enlarged within 6 weeks. The grains were without clubs and characterized by the presence of uric acid crystals in histological preparations.
