Enteropathogenic E. coli strains O149:K91:K88ac, O8:K87 K88, O141:K91 K88 ac and O138:K81 inactivated with 0.2% formaldehyde were used in 17 experimental piglets for oral immunization, 1 ml of vaccine being given daily for 10 or 21 days. Immunized animals had blood serum and intestinal mucus antibody titres higher than those of unvaccinated piglets.
