In experiments in 1983 at Fayetteville and Clarkedale, Arkansas, on Captina silt loam and Sharkey clay soils, resp., several post-em. herbicides were evaluated for control of Sorghum halepense and soyabean phytotoxicity. Single or sequential applications of haloxyfop-methyl, fenoxaprop-ethyl, DPX-Y6202 fluazifop-butyl and SC-1084 gave >90% control of S. halepense, although overall control was better at Clarkedale.
