Experimental studies on total serum iron (TSI) with infection of Ancylostoma caninum in dogs

In dogs infected orally with a single dose of 3000 infective larvae of Ancylostoma caninum, total serum iron decreased from 104.85 +or- 3.23 to 84 +or- 2.11 micro g/100 ml by 30 days after infection, but remained constant in control uninfected dogs.
