Experimental studies with four coronaviruses in cats

Experimental studies with four coronaviruses in cats

Dissertation Abstracts International, B 45(7): 2042-2043

The kinetics-based enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (KELA) was adapted for detecting coronavirus antibodies in feline serum using transmissible gastroenteritis virus propagated in A-72 cells. In a 1-year epidemiological study, age and mean coronavirus antibody titre were inversely related. This could strongly influence titre comparisons involving other measures such as breed, sex and disease status.
