Experimental study of chemical absorption of CO2 in potash solution in the emulsification regime

Experimental study of chemical absorption of CO2 in potash solution in the emulsification regime

Journal of Applied Chemistry of the USSR 57(7, Pt 2): 1490-1491

In the production of hydrogen by catalytic steam conversion of oil-refinery gases the potash method is widely used for removal of CO2 from the converted gas. The absorption of CO2 is generally effected in packed columns at ratios of gas velocity to the gas velocity at the point of phase inversion of 0.7-0.75.
