A calf and a goat (3 months old) were inoculated s/c with the bovine T-lymphoid tumour cell line (BTL-C3), which contained herpesvirus-like particles (BTLV). Changes in the serum antibody titres to the BTL cell associated antigen (BTLA) were determined by the indirect immunofluorescence assay. The anti-BTLA antibody were compared with those of the non-absorbed sera.
