Experiments with mechanical control of Typha spp. stands

Trials carried out with T. angustifolia and T. latifolia in Czechoslovakia and with T. domingensis in Cuba showed that cutting gave the most effective control when carried out at ground or water level. Prolonged control was obtained in Cuba by cutting every 3 or 6 months over a period of 12-18 months.
