Experiments with the growth promoters Nourseothricin and Bisergon in weaned piglets

Experiments with the growth promoters Nourseothricin and Bisergon in weaned piglets

Monatshefte fur Veterinarmedizin 41(14): 488-491

Nourseothricin, produced by Streptomyces noursei, was incorporated in pig feed at 10, 20 or 40 mg/kg of feed, given to newly weaned piglets weighing 9-35 kg. Bisergon, containing the quinoxaline derivative 2-N(2-hydroxyethyl)-carbamyl-3-methylquinoxaline-1,4-dioxide, was added to feed at 25, 50 or 100 mg/kg of feed.
