Some parameters of pest resistance to Melanagromyza sojae, M. dolichostigma and Ophiomyia centrosematis in soyabean are reviewed, with special reference to resistance in the ancestral wild soyabean (Glycine soja) and the cultivated plant (G. max), and providing information useful for plant breeders.
