Extent of aldicarb residues in orange

Extent of aldicarb residues in orange

Journal of Entomological Research (New Delhi) 8(2): 151-153

Orange crop was treated with aldicarb 10 per cent granules at the rate of 1.5, 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 kg a.i/ha as side-dressing. Soil and fruit samples of orange were drawn 21, 45, 62 and 77 days after the application of Temik 10G and analysed colorimetrically. Aldicarb residues detected in orange peel, pulp and juice were far below the tolerance limit of 0.30 pmm prescribed by Environmental Protection Agency, U.S.A. Soil samples showed nominal residues.
