Extent of haplo-diploid expression in maize (Zea mays) genome

Extent of haplo-diploid expression in maize (Zea mays) genome

Genetica Agraria 39(3): 346

Thirty-four isoenzymes in 15 enzyme systems were classed into 3 groups, namely (1) enzymes coded by the same gene expressed in both haploid and diploid phases, (2) enzymes controlling the same function coded by different genes in the pollen and sporophyte and (3) enzymes present in the sporophyte only.
