Extent of variation in some morpho-agronomic characters of cotton varieties

Extent of variation in some morpho-agronomic characters of cotton varieties

Philippine Agriculturist 67(3): 295-304

Pot-grown plants of 8 Deltapine cotton and UPL-C2 were given 75 or 150 kg N, 25 or 150 kg P2O5 and 25 or 150 kg K2O/ha and 2.1 l water/pot every 2 or 4 days. The number of days to boll opening, boll weight, plant height, internode length and DM yield showed a high degree of variability. Fertilizer rates did not produce significant variation in the characters studied except for the number of bolls/plant.
