In Nov. 1973 and Feb. 1974, two tanks of 40 msuperscript 3 capacity were each stocked with 40 sea bass (200-500 g), 40 sea bream (50-100 g) and 8 turbot. One tank was outdoors (control), and the other (experimental) was indoors. The daily photoperiod and water temp. of the experimental tanks both followed a sine curve, the experimental curve having a 10-month instead of a 12-month cycle length.
