Factors affecting the control of volunteer corn and giant foxtail with DOWCO 453 ME

Factors affecting the control of volunteer corn and giant foxtail with DOWCO 453 ME

Proceedings, Northeastern Weed Science Society (Vol. 38 (supplement)): 45

In field trials in Illinois in 1982-3 plots were ploughed in autumn and cultivated in spring before sowing soyabeans. 0.06 or 0.125 lb Dowco 453 ME (haloxyfop-methyl) + 1 quart crop oil concentrate/acre were applied to Setaria faberi 2-12 inches high. The lower rate of Dowco 453 ME gave <more or =>95% and the higher rate <more or =>99% control at all growth stages.
