Fatty acid composition of the total lipids, glycolipids and phospholipids in potato leaves in relation to the frost resistance of species

Fatty acid composition of the total lipids, glycolipids and phospholipids in potato leaves in relation to the frost resistance of species

Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Biologicheskaya (1): 152-156

In a study of resistant and susceptible forms of Solanum acaule, S. rybinii and S. tuberosum, no correlation was established between resistance and fatty acid composition, though the leaves of S. tuberosum, the least resistant species, had a higher content of linolenic acid and a lower content of linoleic acid than the other species and forms in all lipid fractions.
