Rape, kale and fodder radish were grown as catch crops in July and grazed by Suffolk X store lambs (30 per crop) in autumn for 8 weeks. Ten lambs per crop were drafted for slaughter on a weight basis on days 45 (S1), 52 (S2) and 59 (S3). Lamb liveweight gains were 152, 108 and 91 g and carcass gains were 71, 52 and 37 g daily for rape, kale and fodder radish, respectively.
