Among the 43 combinations of virulence genes described on examining Puccinia recondita f.sp. tritici isolates from wheat and wild grasses the most common were 9, 19/3, 10, 14a, 14b, 16, 18 (up to 76%) and 3, 9, 10, 19/14a, 14b, 16 and 18 (up to 53.2%).
