Growth and fruiting of apple trees with interstocks of vegetatively propagated rootstocks

Growth and fruiting of apple trees with interstocks of vegetatively propagated rootstocks

Sbornik Nauchnykh Trudov Estonskogo NII Zemledeliya i Melioratsii 50: 25-36

Insertion of interstocks of dwarfing forms (Paradizka Budagovskogo, No.57-146, No.57-366) between vigorous rootstocks and scion cultivars produced weak growing early bearing trees. Medium vigorous rotstocks (Nos 54-118, 57-333, 57-490 and 54-83) as interstocks did not limit tree growth compared with trees grafted on cultivar seedlings.
