B. Roggendorf expresses the reason behind the need for rural home economics advisory services as the close interrelationship between the agricultural household and farm which are regarded as a unit by the family. Advisory services need therefore to take the requirements and wishes of family, household and farm into equal account. P. Denzinger believes agricultural and home economics advisory services in developing and developed countries are in need of reorientation.
