In vitro immunization of bovine lymphocytes with an encapsulated or a non-encapsulated Smith strain of Staphylococcus aureus: influence of encapsulation on the type of specific cellular response

In vitro immunization of bovine lymphocytes with an encapsulated or a non-encapsulated Smith strain of Staphylococcus aureus: influence of encapsulation on the type of specific cellular response

Kieler Milchwirtschaftliche Forschungsberichte 37(4): 633

Differences observed between the kinetics of the blastogenic response (as measured by hymidine uptake) of bovine lymphocytes, isolated from milk and blood, to encapsulated and non-encapsulated Staphylococcus aureus, suggested that the encapsulated strain may be thymic-dependent whilst the non-encapsulated strain may be thymic independent.
