Incidence and etiology of cutaneous Myiasis in domestic animals at Hissar

Of 722 wounds dressed during 1982 at the Haryana University Veterinary Clinic, 15% (108) were affected by myiasis: 19 of 190 cattle, 52 of 309 buffalo, 5 of 19 sheep, 16 of 80 goats, 6 of 46 camels and 10 of 78 dogs. Myiasis was seasonal, with most cases during July to October and peaks in August and September.
