The injection of adult males of Periplaneta americana with 10 micro l of a solution containing 1 micro M octopamine increased the activity of trehalase in the haemolymph and muscle, but not in the gut. Tyramine, dopamine and glutamate at the same concentration failed to elicit any effect on trehalase activity.
