A study was made for the isolation of infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) from lungs, tracheae and kidneys of clinically morbid birds. The isolates were confirmed by gross pathological lesions (curling and drawfing) in chick embryos, un-weaned mice inoculation, indirect haemagglutination test (IHA) and agar-gel precipitation test (AGPT) with known antisera. The pathogenicity test in chicks revealed 35.8 per cent mortality.
