Isolation and typing of Clostridium perfringens strains in Algeria
From 23 sheep, 3 goats, 2 cows and a calf with enterotoxaemia, 20 C. perfringens strains were isolated and typed: 10 type A, 3 type B, 4 type C and 3 type D. Culture of intestinal samples from 42 healthy slaughter sheep resulted in the isolation of 29 C. perfringens strains: 25 type A, 1 type B, and 3 type C.
