A 56-year-old man, presenting with acute hypogastric pain, vomiting and diarrhoea soon followed by total stoppage of faecal matter and gas, was operated for adbominal occulsion (in France). An Anisakis larva was found in a jejunal nodule which was removed, together with a mesenteric ganglion and 5 cm of intestine.
