Griseofulvin therapy aggravated disturbed functions of T and B lymphocytes, non-specific cell-mediated and humoral factors of protection. Combined therapy involving removal of infected nail plates and regular cleaning with fungicide solutions and administration of levamizole and vitamin complexes resulted in cure in 51 of 59 cases, compared with 32 of 64 cured with griseofulvin alone.
