, : Karyotype analysis of Mongolian wheatgrass. Zhongguo Caoyuan Grassland of China (2): 38-40

Agropyron mongolicum, a perennial turfgrass distributed over arid, sandy regions of northern China, has 2n = 14. None of the 7 chromosome pairs had satellites and all were metacentric, with the exception of the sixth which was submetacentric. The karyotype is symmetrical and similar to that of Agropyron cristatum.
