Exotoxin from culture supernatant of Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. morrisoni was prepared using Sephadex G-25-40 columns and the toxin was determined by high performance liquid chromatography to be beta -exotoxin. In bioassays against larvae of Haematobia irritans, the LC50s and LC90s were estimated to be 2.79 and 8.03 micro g/g larval medium, respectively. Maximum larval mortality peaked at 98% when cattle faeces from an animal treated with 3.0 g/day for 5 days were bioassayed.
