Protostrongylid larvae were recovered from the faeces of 20 of 24 wild and 35 of 87 farmed red deer and from the lungs of all 10 wild and 2 of 3 farmed red deer (Cervus elaphus), from 3 of 4 faecal samples and 3 of 12 lungs of wild roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) and from 4 of 6 faecal pellets from reindeer (Rangifer tarandus) in Scotland during 1981.
