Meiotic disorders induced by water extracts of Datura innoxia and Hyoscyamus muticus and their pure active ingredients in Vicia PMCs

Meiotic disorders induced by water extracts of Datura innoxia and Hyoscyamus muticus and their pure active ingredients in Vicia PMCs

Annals of Agricultural Science, Ain Shams Universityrec'd 1986; 28(3): 1593-1603

Treatment of flower buds of V. faba Giza with aqueous extracts of D. innoxia and H. muticus resulted in the following chromosome abnormalities: stickiness, bridges, lagging, fragmentation and spindle disturbance. The Datura extract and the alkaloid hyoscine had greater effects than the Hyoscyamus extract or atropine.
