Observations on the development of the sporophore of Rigidoporus lignosus and the realease and germination of basidiospores



Journal of the Rubber Research Institute of Sri Lanka 60: 59-68



Sporophores are produced on infected rubber stumps throughout the year and freely available during rainy weather, producing viable basidiospores from a very early stage of development and abundantly at maturity. A bimodal pattern of spore release was observed with an early morning peak when RH was high and temp. low.
