Optimization of the veneer peeling process using a nondestructive method of quality control

The high correlation (r=0.716) between the speed of propagation of surface ultrasonic waves and the tensile strength of veneers across the grain was used to calculate the optimum conditions for peeling birch veneers 2 mm thick.
